Silly Storm!

Blizzard
A blizzard is a severe storm condition characterized by low temperatures, strong winds, and heavy snow.
----------------------------------------------
Over the weekend the news started reporting that Utah was going to be hit with a severe blizzard Tuesday evening and that it was going to be the worst storm we had seen in years. Everyone started getting all hyped up about this blizzard and it seemed as though it may have been the most popular topic of conversation. All over TV there were reports of "storm preparation" and "dangerous conditions" and "preparing for thanksgiving out of can". Schools and Businesses were closed down early Tuesday so people could make it home before the storm. Even Jed ended up finishing his work early so he would be safely indoors when the storm hit. People everywhere stayed in their houses waiting for this "apocalyptic" type storm...

So we hunkered down and waited... and waited...
and waited...

The snow finally started falling around 6pm and by definition (provided above) it WAS in fact a blizzard. Cold harsh winds whipped the snow around creating a beautiful picture of white and winter. However, it was definately NOT the worst storm we had seen in years. In my honest opinion the meteorologists created panic and stress over a little baby storm... Must be Californians! If there was this much hype over something so minor I can not even imagine what their reaction is going to be over the rest of our snowy season here in Utah.

(This morning when I looked out the window to assess the damage, the sky was such a beautiful blue and the grass was peaking up out from underneath the snow... It was a beautiful picture and I couldn't resist sharing it with the world.)

I am thankful that the storm was not as harsh as expected...

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving

Keep Smiling

BrOtHeRs!

Thought I would drop in real quick and share some pictures of the boys from this past month...November has gone by so quickly... I will probably do our next update after Thanksgiving and Phoenix's birthday. -Tiffy
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Drake is such a handsome little guy!
Phoenix is our smiley boy!
These two are always up to something...
Anytime food or sleep is involved the boys are all for it!
Drake is such a good helper and is determined to take care of his "Mr. Fat Kid"
The boys are watching "Move It Move It" (Madagasgar 2) before their nap time... as you can see they are both exhausted, but refused to sleep until it was over. They often hold hands when they are sitting on the couch together...it warms my heart to see them being so loving.
We hope you enjoyed our brief little update.

Playin in the mud with Granny Goose...

It's always fun at Grandma's House!
The boys have been missing their Grandma Shirley A LOT since the move and ask to go see her about 20 times a day. They have even gotten a hold of my phone and called her a few times and left her cute little messages on her answering machine letting her know how much they love and miss her. Grandma is a busy little beaver, but luckily we made sure she scheduled us in and we got to spend a fun filled Friday afternoon with her.
Grandma wanted to finish preparing her garden for the coming winter months and the boys were more than willing to help her. They ended up playing in the mud for a good hour while us ladies decided to get the Christmas lights put up before the snow comes next week. It was a sight to see... we couldn't figure out the tall ladder so we ended up calling Toddzie over to help us get the higher parts of the roof. All in all it was a really fun day and the boys never wanted it to end. Little Phoenix cries his little head off every time we leave Grandma's house and Drake is very sad to go too. I am not the best driver in the winter time, but I am going to make my best effort to make it to Granny's house at least once a week so she can see her boys.

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!
